The Full Story

The Art of Locking Down is a project by Europeans at Home, a team of seven European Solidarity Corps volunteers in Spain whose original projects were put on hold due to the lockdown.

During an online training, we discussed a brilliantly simple idea we wanted to make into a reality:

People from across Europe sharing with one another what's getting them through lockdown. 

​

We want to hear people's stories about the new skill they're practising, the virtual museums they've been strolling, and the poems they've been writing. We want to share our stories and shine a little light in this time of much fear and uncertainty!

We have created this blog as an extension of our activities on Facebook and Instagram, as a place where we can share more in-depth personal accounts, as well as discuss lockdown art & culture. 

​

It's ultimately a way for us to feel connected while metres (or miles) apart.
